My bio in short
I was born in Athens-Greece.
I studied Molecular Biology in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating in 2006. I have participated in various research projects, in collaboration with research and diagnostic laboratories, including Laboratory of Molecular Genetics of Microorganisms and Radiogenetics - National Research Center of Nature Sciences “Democritus”, Laboratory of neurophysiology - “Aeginition” Hospital, Laboratory of Assisted Reproduction Center - “Alexandra” Hospital.
I hold a PhD from Athens Medical School-Laboratory of Hygiene Epidemiology and Medical Statistic,- in collaboration with Hellenic Pasteur Institute-Laboratory of Molecular Virology (PENED/2003-full scholarship).
I have been the founder and director of the Molecular Diagnostics Department of the private laboratory "Medifos". This is the first private molecular laboratory in Cyprus.
Currently, I investigate the role of Human Endogenous Retroviruses using wet-lab and bioinformatics tools.
